When someone dies in London, the first call is the hardest. Ours is answered by a funeral director, not a call centre, and we can be with your loved one the same day, anywhere inside the M25.

One funeral director, from the first call to the last goodbye
You will have one named person looking after your family. They collect your loved one, sit down with you to plan the service, deal with the cemetery or crematorium, the registrar, the paperwork and the clergy, and they are there on the day itself.
Burial or cremation, Orthodox, Catholic, another faith or none at all, the arrangements are the same in one respect: we set out every cost in writing before anything is booked, and we do not ask you to decide anything on the phone at 3am.
If your family would rather the funeral took place at home in Romania or elsewhere in the EU, we arrange repatriation too.

- Care of your loved one and a private chapel of rest for viewing
- Burial plot or crematorium booking, and the service arranged with your clergy
- Coffin or casket, urn, flowers and printed order of service

What we ask you on the first call
About ten minutes, no documents in front of you, nothing booked while you are on the line. These are the questions, roughly in the order we reach them, so that none of them arrives as a surprise.

Where are they now?
A hospital, a hospice, a care home or their own bed. It tells us who has to release them into our care and how soon we can get there. If it is the only question you can answer tonight, we have enough to set off.

Has a doctor or the hospital confirmed the death?
If they have, a medical examiner reviews the cause of death, and the death can be registered after that. If it happened suddenly at home, the coroner is involved instead and the timing is theirs. Either way, we tell you who will be ringing you next.

Burial or cremation, if you have got that far?
It is the one answer that changes what we can book and roughly what the day will cost. Not having decided is normal in the first hours. If there is a funeral plan or a policy through work, tell us then, because it changes the figures.

Is there a parish, or a priest you want?
Give us the church and we speak to them ourselves, in Romanian if that is easier. If you would rather have no service, or a service with no priest, it is arranged the same way.

Who do we call after this, and how late can we ring?
One name and one number. Everything from then on goes to that person, so nobody else in the family is woken for a decision that can wait until the morning.
If the death was expected and happened at home, we may also ask which GP surgery looked after them, since that is who writes the medical certificate. Nothing else is needed from you that night.

What will it cost?
It depends on whether you choose burial or cremation and which cemetery or crematorium you use, as their fees vary widely across London. We give you a written estimate that separates our fee from those third-party costs, before anything is booked, and it does not change afterwards.
How quickly can you come?
The line is answered 24 hours a day and we can usually attend the same day, anywhere in London, to bring your loved one into our care.
Can you arrange an Orthodox or Romanian service?
Yes. We arrange Orthodox, Catholic, other religious and non-religious services, and we liaise with the priest, pastor or celebrant of your choice in London.
Do you arrange both burials and cremations?
Both, working with cemeteries and crematoria across London and Greater London. We explain the practical differences and the costs of each before you decide.
What if the funeral should take place abroad?
These local services cover London and Greater London. If your family would rather bury your loved one at home, we handle repatriation to Romania and the EU as a separate service.
